About Long Beach

Long Beach is centrally located in the heart of Southern California, approximately 25 miles south of the city of Los Angeles, on the Pacific Ocean. It is the 7th largest city in the state of California and is home to more than 466,000 residents.

We acknowledge our presence in the traditional ancestral land of the Tongva/Gabrieleño and the Acjachemen/Juaneño tribal nations. This land remains unceded territory and the area holds the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory. Generations of Tongva, Chumash, Acjachemen, Costanoan, Luiseño, and Kumeyaay Tongva people have lived and gathered in Long Beach, including, but not limited to, the sacred site of Puvungna, which is recognized by the California Native American Heritage Commission’s (NAHC) Sacred Lands Inventory. Long Beach has been a popular location for filming television and movies, diverse architecture, and beautiful sandy beaches to enjoy exploring. The Convention team is excited to welcome you into this beautiful city!
